The “Personalizing PIPE” advanced training is for PIPE users who have already attended the “PIPE Comprehensive Two Day Training” or the “NPF Unit Two  “PIPE” training.”

Personalizing PIPE will help participants identify their strengths and weaknesses in using PIPE. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of each step in the instructional model. They will improve their skills in each of the steps. In this training participants will use hands-on PIPE strategies to meet a parenting need by using fun learning experiences.

As a result of this training participants will:

• Expand their understanding and appreciation of each step in the PIPE 4 Step Instructional Model
• Experience and appreciate how fun enhances learning and supports behavioral change.
• Increase their knowledge of PIPE topics and ability to choose PIPE concepts to meet individual parent needs
• Increase their skill in using hands-on PIPE strategies
• Increase their ability to connect concepts to Activity Cards
• Increase their comfort level and skills in doing Step 2, Demonstration
• Increase their coaching skills to enhance the attachment between parent and child

The session will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day and end by 5 p.m.

Please note that lunch is on your own and no evening activities are planned.

You will need to bring your PIPE Curriculum with you to this training. If you have purchased curriculum it will be waiting for you at the training.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion for the 8 hours of contact time at the close of the training.

Directions:

• Exit off of I-25 onto 120th going east (away from the mountains) to Washington
• at Washington turn south (right) to Malley Dr
• at Malley Dr. turn west (right) to Grant Drive
• at Grant Drive turn south, (left) Immaculate Heart of Mary is located on the right. Enter through the church’s main entrance.  When you reach the top of the stairs go down the corridor on the left and follow the signs will direct you to the training room in the Parish Center.
